This makes it appear as though they&#8217;re benefiting your health, and health problems that develop later on are frequently misinterpreted as brand new, separate health problems.</p>

<p><strong>8.) <span style="color: #ff0000;">FLUORIDE IN OUR TAP WATER!</span></strong></p>
<p>Originally, the fluoride used to fluoridate water supplies came from the aluminum and atomic bomb industries. A couple of years later, however, they realized there was another fluoride product that was much more readily available.  The reason it was so readily accessible was because it was a <em>truly</em> hazardous waste that was very hard to get rid of, namely hydrogen fluoride from the phosphate fertilizer industry.</p>
<p>This fluoride gas is captured in the scrubber system and turned into hydrofluorosilicic acid—which is the primary source of fluoride used for water fluoridation. This phosphate fertilizer byproduct also typically <strong>contains arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury, plus a variety of other contaminants that are part of the phosphate ore.</strong></p>
<p><em>&#8220;And so now you have a product, or a hazardous material, that you can&#8217;t put in an ocean, you can&#8217;t put in a river or lake or stream, you can&#8217;t bury it, and you can&#8217;t even give it away,&#8221;</em> says Green. But you <em>can</em> sell it and put it in the commercial water supplies!</p>

<p><strong>9.)</strong> <span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Vitamin D</strong></span> is a steroid hormone that influences virtually every cell in your body, and is easily one of nature&#8217;s <strong>most potent cancer fighters</strong>. So I want to stress again that if you are shunning all sun exposure, you are <em>missing out</em> on this natural cancer protection. You <em>can</em> get vitamin D3 in supplement form, and if sunlight or a safe tanning bed is not an option. Higher levels of vitamin D are necessary to provide protection from more serious chronic diseases such as cancer, heart disease, infections, multiple sclerosis and more. The average adult needs to take<strong> <em>8,000 IU&#8217;s</em> <em>of vitamin D per day</em></strong> in order to elevate his or her levels above 40 ng/ml &#8212; the bare minimum requirement necessary for disease prevention. Ideally, you&#8217;ll want your levels to be between 50-70 ng/ml.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>One of my main mentors, Dr. Mercola (www.mercola.com) listed his basic diet plan last week. Here it is:</p>
<ul>
<li>Limit fructose to less than 25 grams per day. Ideally, you&#8217;ll also want to limit the amount of fructose from fruit to 15 grams per day, as you&#8217;re likely consuming &#8216;hidden&#8217; fructose if you eat even small amounts of processed foods or sweetened beverages</li>
<li>Limit or eliminate all processed foods</li>
<li>Eliminate all gluten, and highly allergenic foods from your diet</li>
<li>Eat organic foods whenever possible, preferably locally-grown</li>
<li>Eat at least one-third of your food uncooked (raw), or as much as you can manage</li>
<li>Increase the amount of fresh vegetables in your diet</li>
<li>Avoid artificial sweeteners of all kinds</li>
<li>Swap all trans fats (vegetable oils, margarine etc) for healthful fats like raw butter or coconut oil</li>
<li>To re-balance your omega-3 to omega-6 ratio, take a high-quality omega-3 supplement, such as krill oil, and reduce your consumption of processed omega-6 fats from vegetable oils (trans fats)</li>
<li>Drink plenty of pure water</li>
<li>Optimize your vitamin D levels, either through appropriate sun exposure, a safe tanning bed, or as last resort an oral vitamin D3 supplement</li>
</ul>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">RICO&#8217;S COMMENTS: Everything he says is very sound advice and I follow every one of these. I don&#8217;t eat much fruit because even too much of the fruit&#8217;s natural sugar is bad for you.I eat all of my organic vegetables raw as they lose most of their phytonutrients when cooked. I make super organic veggie/fruit smoothies in my VITAMIX. I only eat grass fed beef and organioc chicken and Alaskan Wild Salmon. I use Xylitol for a non toxic sweetener as opposed to SUCRALOSE, which is found as a sweetener in about 90% of most sugar free products, which kills most of the good gut bacteria in your stomach, resulting in many health problems. I use virgin organic coconut oil for cooking, skin moisturizer and take 3 tbsp a day for healthy fat and MCT (energy). I take krill oil and flaxseed oil also. I drink ionized alkaline water from the machine in my home, fresh every day. (Don&#8217;t get me going on bottled water!) I take 10,000 IUs of vitamin D3 every day as well as tan for 10 minutes a day ( the greatest producer of Vitamin D) in my safe tanning bed. </span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Many of the things Dr. Mercola lists are the same concepts in the Paleoithic Diet, which I follow. I take a strong Digestive Enzyme with every meal, Probiotics every day and a super Green Food</span></strong></p>
<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">The last part even though it is not Diet related to both of our regimens is EXERCISE! THE MANY BENEFITS OF HAVING A FIT, LEAN, MUSCULAR BODY ARE WELL PUBLISHED.</span></strong></p>

Trouble is, arsenic shifts from organic to inorganic rather easily. They may have answers, but they just aren’t good enough. For fun, though, let’s see take a look at some of the assertions:</p>
<p>There’s a reason grains are first and foremost on the list of foods to avoid when following the <a title="The Primal Blueprint" href="http://primalblueprint.com/" target="_blank">Primal Blueprint</a>: they are completely and utterly pointless in the context of a healthy diet. In fact, if your average unhealthy person were to ask for the top three things to avoid in order to get healthy, I would tell them to stop smoking, to stop drinking their calories (as soda or juice), and to stop eating grains. Period. Full stop. They really are that bad.</p>
<p>I’ve mentioned this time and again, but the fundamental problem with grains is that they are a distinctly Neolithic food that the human animal has yet to adapt to consuming.</p>
<p>Some of us can digest dairy, and we’ve got the amylase enzyme present in our saliva to break down starches if need be, but we simply do not have the wiring necessary to mitigate the harmful effects of lectins, gluten, and phytate.</p>

<p><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;">Lectins, Gluten and and Phylates are all health problems and are found in grains. Remember grains are an invention. A non dairy, non grains diet will deliver many health benefits. It will take some getting used to as we as a culture are filled with the belief that cereals, rice, pasta, wheat, etc. are healthy.</span></strong></p>

<p>On the other hand, do you know <span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>how much fruit and vegetable farmers receive in subsidies?</strong></span> According to a recent article in the Chicago Tribune, <span style="color: #0000ff;"><strong>these farmers receive no subsidies at all</strong></span>.</p>
<p>In his excellent book, <em>The Omnivore&#8217;s Dilemma,</em> Michael Pollan comments on the health effects of U.S. farm policy. &#8220;When you go to the grocery store,&#8221; Pollan writes, &#8220;You find that the cheapest calories are the ones that are going to make you the fattest &#8211; the added sugars and fats in processed foods.&#8221;</p>
<p>Pollan concludes that the correlation between poverty and obesity is directly tied to agricultural subsidies. Is it any wonder that we have become a junk food nation?</p>

<p><span style="color: #ff0000;"><strong>Sugar, wheat, rice, corn syrup, hydrogenated oils, etc. create  many health problems for  Americans. Foods with these ingredients are in almost everything we buy in our grocery stores! These things are produced to make  money, not to make you healthy. The grocer is not your friend. Think fruits and vegetables, nuts and beans and lean meats. Most of what you see in a grocery store is processed food.<br />
